We’re thrilled to participate in the Christmas Party with The Aloe Family, a cherished time of fellowship, celebration, and generosity as we enter the heart of the Advent season. This gathering brings together our parish and the families of Aloe for an afternoon filled with joy, community, and meaningful connection.
One of the most important parts of this event is our Christmas gift collection for Aloe kids. Each year, Good Shepherd helps create a no-cost “Christmas Store” for families at the next Community Day, offering parents the chance to choose gifts for their children with dignity and joy. By contributing a present, you help make Christmas morning special for a child while also honoring the parents’ role in giving it.
You’re invited to purchase a gift you think a child ages 0–12 would love — toys, books, art supplies, sports equipment, or cozy winter items — or you can select something directly from the Aloe wish list. Please bring all gifts to the church by December 7th so our team has time to prepare the store.
During the party, the women of Aloe will also be offering their homemade tamales for lunch, a beloved tradition that directly supports their work and economic empowerment. Come hungry, bring friends, and enjoy the chance to support these women while sharing a festive meal together.
This celebration is one of the ways we strengthen our partnership with The Aloe Family and invest in the flourishing of refugee and immigrant families in our community. If you have any questions or would like more details, please contact Jackie Tidwell.
We hope you’ll join us for this joyful day of generosity, community, and holiday warmth. Please register!
