Join us on Tuesday, November 7th, at 6 PM for a Service of Lament & Hope.
Therapist and author Steven Stosny coined the term "election stress disorder," describing it as "stress and anxiety triggered by election news (that) spills into social, work, and family life." In this sacred space, we are invited to bring whatever we carry—our grief, fears, anger, and hopes—before God.
As Christians, we’re called to face the world honestly. This service is for everyone, especially those who are marginalized, vulnerable, or unseen in this election and post-election season. Together, we’ll journey through the stages of lament: invocation, calling on God who promises to be with us; complaint, speaking honestly about the brokenness we see; petition, asking God to respond and bring healing; and hope, finding rest in His promises.
Come as you are; you are not alone.
Parents: While childcare is not provided, children are welcome to attend. However, the tone of this service is one of somber reverence, to hold and honor grief, and simply have a space to lament and to hope. If you are bringing your children and they need a space to go, we will open a classroom for you to accompany your child. Please note, your child may not be unattended or unsupervised.
