The women's mental health support group provides a space for Good Shepherd women to find community and connection with each other amidst the challenges of mental health struggles. Experiencing mental illness as a person of faith can lead to feelings of isolation, shame, and loneliness. This group focuses on receiving compassion, support, and healing through connection with each other and God. A typical group includes a check in activity or reflection, a time of sharing as a group, and closing with small group or individual prayer.
*Note: this is not a therapy group and should not take the place of professional mental health counseling. Individuals experiencing high levels of anxiety/depression will be encouraged to seek out professional mental health support.
