Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season, a 40-day journey of prayer, penance, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts and minds for the resurrection of our Lord and Savior on Easter. As we gather together for the imposition of ashes on our foreheads, we recall that this is an outward sign of grief, humility, mourning, and morality and an opportunity for repentance. As Job so boldly proclaims: "I...repent in dust and ashes" (Job 42:6). We hope you join us for our Ash Wednesday service on February 22nd at either 12 PM or 6 PM (childcare provided only at this service).
